We really missed those who could not make it this year. The weather was perfect and the food was as good as we've ever had. The hike to Lone Pine Lake was fabulous - the water flowed strong and there were flowers in bloom we've not seen before.We had one bear visit around sundown on Friday. It came right to the edge of camp, approaching an ice chest. The men beat their masculine chests and threw stones, the women screamed at it - and it left! What a beauty it was, about waist high and with gorgeous reddish brown fur. We were glad to see it leave, however. No other bear incidents were reported the whole weekend.
